Our story
Every jar has a story on the back.
Mama's Sauces is a small family company in Saint Augustine, Florida. The recipes came long before the jars did. They were cooked for Sunday dinners, for reunions, for Super Bowl parties, and for a grandmother who wanted a little less heat.
When we designed the labels we put those stories on the back, in our own words, next to the ingredients. They are collected here exactly as they are printed. We are getting ready to put the sauces into production now, and this page is where it starts.

Spicy Marinara
One of the largest family meals we made with Spicy Marinara was a reunion in Tennessee. This will always be a memorable occasion for me, because all 27 of us gathered around crowded tables and enjoyed pasta with spicy marinara, salad and fresh garlic bread! So, whether you are 1, 2 or a family of 27, we hope you enjoy the sauce and the meal we helped you make at home!

Grandma loved my Spicy Marinara, but as she got older, the heat was a bit too much, so we made a mild version. She loved it, that is enough for me.

Spicy Tomato & Garlic
Fra Diavolo
The first time I made this sauce was in 2012, when we started buying fresh seafood from a fish market in St Augustine. They were the best Shrimp and Scallops we had ever eaten! A true Fra Diavolo Sauce should be a spicy tomato and garlic sauce. That's it, sometimes you just need to keep it simple. That's what we've brought you!

The aroma will make your mouth water, it's light, it's healthy, the taste of fresh tomatoes and garlic, it's soooo delicious. It is inspiring, wonderful with seafood, Chicken Parmesan, meatballs, just about everything. Try it and be creative!

Simmering Sauce
Heavenly BBQ
This simmering sauce has been used in my family for years. It was a dinner time favorite and still is. We made a big batch as a sampler for the 2013 Superbowl party. We cooked chicken, pork and tofu, it was all mouth watering delicious!

Chili Dog Sauce
Michigan Sauce
Michigan sauce, it was how we made hot dogs taste good when we were kids. Nothing like a hot dog with a spicy meat sauce poured over the top, add onions and eat it up. Add cheese and mustard, it's like a coney dog or Skyline Chili if you have ever been to Cincinnati. Just delicious.
