Mama's Sauces is all about family, sitting down and eating a meal together. My Mama would make this sauce from scratch and pour it over 1.5 - 2 lbs of Country Style Spare Ribs and serve them up with a baked potato and sour cream! It was one of our favorites! Today, we still think it's the best BBQ simmer sauce we ever had, that's why we call it Heavenly BBQ! Try it on chicken, pork or even tofu!
This simmering sauce has been used in my family for years. It was a dinner time favorite and still is. We made a 5 gallon batch as a sampler for the 2013 Superbowl party (taste testing it in a large batch). We cooked chicken, pork and tofu, it was all mouth watering delicious! Our guests said they have never had anything like it and we hope you enjoy it too!
Heavenly BBQ Simmer Sauce (Pork): Use 1 1/2 (one and one half) - 2 (two) lbs of Country Style Spare Ribs. Pour a 24 oz jar of Heavenly BBQ simmer sauce over the top, make sure that it is mostly covered. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 for 1.5 hours. Remove foil and continue to cook for an additional 1/2 hour or until the meat falls apart. OR you may put the meat and sauce in a crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours, or on low for 6-8 hours, when the meat falls apart, it's done! Eat it with a baked potato, or pull it and make sandwiches! Also delicious with Chicken or Tofu.
